I got to meet the “real” Coraline today, and by real I mean the amazingly crafted puppet that was used in the stop-motion film. It was awesome, I learned so much about the whole process, and the insane amount of effort, talent, and detail goes into making such a film. The line across Coraline’s face is actually where the bottom half of her face comes off, so the animators can change her expressions, and that line has to be digitally erased from every single frame of movie.
